SECRET: the miata is fun as hell to mob around. My gramps loves them and has had every generation. This one is the 3rd gen and its a blast. I'm going to hayte to give it up. It will be bittersweet, but ill be glad to have my e30 back. The miata is not comfortable at all, unless your sides are smashed up against the side bolsters on the seat because your too focused on the turns ahead to give a heck.

Update!!! Motor is in!!! However, we had a snag with the cam/dizzy combo and we are currently waiting on a dizz from Ireland Engineering. Once it arrives Friday she will be back on the road with all the new goodies! Clutch feels great, shifter is back to normal (there was a broken mount that we replaced) and now ill be pumpin 2.0 liters around!!!
Time to find a 320i badge for the back! Heres just a few of the motor going in...i would have loved to taken a couple weeks and really cleaned everything but time is a factor for this little DD and CAtuned needs their lift back!!!
Everything re-installed...

Oh, i also found out that ive got 3.92 LSD in the rear, i never knew what to look for and we saw the diff tag while the car was in the air. Should go nicely with the little bit larger displacement. Puuurrrfect turbo motor i have here, might have to do that. We will see. Updates and possibly a start up vid on Fri. Thanks for peepin!Sometimes you eat the bar, and... well, sometimes it eats you...

Major update...well motor is in and running, nothing really new to show since the last pic of the engine in, just a different distributor. But so far so good, 1.8 to 2.0L and running strong for over 100 miles now. I took a quick photo at the end of my street, to showcase the current status before stance. Coilovers should be any day now, then i should be content for a while.... but i am starting to look at turbos. We will see.
K, couple more. I know i know, super 4x4. Blame the US government.

BTW thanks I'm glad you guys are liking it, it's the most fun I've had with a car in a long time if not ever.... And as always, despite the stereotypical "cocks drive bmws" consensus, the bimmer scene seems to be associated with some real genuine folks, all forum fodder aside. Ive literally met some of the nicest and coolest people ive come across in this fucked journey we call life.
Stay tuned i will be taking many many photos of the drop, caliper rebuild, 2nd attempt at oil leak, wheel stud/spacer install, lollipop install, and some fresh as fuck "after" shots when its all done.Sometimes you eat the bar, and... well, sometimes it eats you...
