  • gotheframe’s 1967 Volvo Amazon

I figure I should start a build thread for this.

    Current status

    Untitled

Brief history: Several years ago I flew my brother and I out to Oregon to road trip this 1967 Volvo 122s Amazon back to Indiana.

Previous owner performed an engine swapped to a ‘74 B20E and replaced the 4spd with an M41 J-Type overdrive for the plus one gear.

Toured Antelope Island in Utah within the Great Salt Lake
    gotheframe

Encountered a leaking pinion seal leaving Utah that would plague us the remainder of trip

Arrived home in Indiana and brother and I had to get the cars together for a photo

Made some badge holders - previous owner secured documentation for 374,000 miles but estimates car to have somewhere more than 400,000.

Plan is to install a RideTech RideProX system with leveling, slam RE5 bags in front, and Firestone sleeve bags on a mini truck style drop mount. A single Viair 444c for the air pressures.

Damn man, this thing is clean AF for having 500k miles! Love how classy it looks, hope the final wheel choice will mantain the oldschool vibes

This looks like a great car to own. So uncomfortable I missed one in my area last year. Skipped it only because it was red. Now I'm kicking myself.

Can't wait to see more on the suspension mods required to get it to lay frame. Are you sticking with the B20?

Dude, how can be this clean with that mileage? Explain your secret!

                Nice combo you have here!

Loved this stage, maybe a little lower and wider steelies.
                Dogo is amazing

Thanks! Working on custom wheels with an old school vibe.

No plans to change yet. Does need a rebuild.

Haha, I’m 3rd owner. There’s rough areas but that just means room for improvement.

The #krolla is my brother Matt’s (4pistonmonday). It’s under the knife getting a 4P K24. Pretty badass build.

I’ve enjoyed the smoothies, the height hasn’t been bad but I’ve wanted to make it my own. Dogo has ridden in the car too lol

Thanks! I love the color - “light green.” I’ve visualized having the car bagged for a long time so, me too!

Had the 5gal aluminum tank shortened by about 7inches to tuck it out of the way behind the spare. I'm good with compromising tank capacity for trunk space and like the somewhat hidden install.

I like the idea with the tank. I'm personally not a fan of plunking the air tank right into the middle of the trunk and putting it on display. I like trunk space lol
