  • Lowered ATV

This picture crossed my browser the other week and I haven't been able to shake the idea of a lowered quad. I have a late 80's Yamaha Warrior 350 at work that no one would lament the ruination of...

It's too old and slow to even take as a back-up quad on an offroading trup. But I know that the engine was rebuilt not too long ago and the only mechanical problem is a chain guide. I did a little research on parts for my specific quad and came up with $55 for these parts to lower the warrior around 4".

But one look at the front suspension and I'd rather just relocate a few brackets and sacrifice any semblance of suspension geometry.

This obviously won't be off-road capable but I figure some careful customization and a set of atv-sized street tires and I'll have something truly worthless to bring to car shows.

    Any thoughts, tips, prior experience?

Why would you lower something that's specific use is for doing things where ground clearance is required?

because why not? there isn't any logic in extremely lowered cars. we all just like it that way.
so why not lower the fuck out of an old ATV.

OP, good plan, i'm in to see more of it

I like the first one. Not sure how I feel about the tacky rims they sell for quads.

I gotta dig the quad out of the deepest corner of our garage. There are two muscle cars and a stack of tires preventing me from getting to it.

HA this is sick always thought the point in a quad was to pull things or race offroad ! big problems up my area with groups of lads racing around in big groups on Raptors and Banshee quads wearing balclavas, looks pretty sick though shutting the road off..
