Cab floor is finally done. What a time-suck that was. But it means that all of the major fabrication work is done so there's light at the end of the tunnel. And I spent about 4 hours today cleaning up the disaster zone of a shop from all of the rust and rubble. I'm off tomorrow and possibly Tuesday so I'm moving on to fitting the new front shocks into LCAs that are too small and reassembling the front suspension to get this thing on the ground

Reminds me of the scene from Jurassic World where they discover and take off in the old Jeeps from the old visitor center.

            Awesome topic btw

              Thanks guys

Had a much busier weekend than anticipated, so didn't get to take any pics of it on the ground after adjustments yet but I'm off work again tomorrow so I'll be back at it and I'll throw up some pics. Lets just say that seeing it on its own feet for the first time since April has given me quite a boost

                As promised......

Front will be coming down another inch or so, I have to fiddle with the torsions a bit more. Will also be getting 1" spacers for the front wheels instead of the 12mm that are currently fitted. Strongly dislike the idea of running them, but I'm trying to work thru it. Might have to go down to a 215 tire for a bit more stretch. About -5.5* up front and -2.5* rear

Can't fucking wait to drive this deathtrap, I'm so pumped

Happy new year everybody. Certainly haven't forgotten about the truck, just on hold for a little bit until I get some more pressing projects finished. Like installing the rest of the new windows in my house Lolz. Also have a furnace to install in the garage for warmer winter wrenching. Got a few little goodies under the Christmas tree this year

As it sits now the motor is sitting in, bed sitting on temporary clamps, and 21.5" front fender edge to ground measurement, the flare is literally resting on the tire. Buuuuut, that means that my speculations about resetting the torsions was correct, so once everything is bolted in and at full weight I'll adjust them accordingly. Since this build has transitioned to an over-winter project, I'll be doing a ton more work to it before it hits the street. Stuff that was going to be put off originally will get done, like front brake conversion, rollcage of some form, and a much larger amount of sheetmetal work to the body. More to come...

A few things worry me, but you seem to be confident in them. I dig the overall truck though, style wise.

Please share, I'm quite open to all constructive critique and other points of view. And I can also preempt by openly admitting that this is def not the BEST way to do many aspects of a build like this, but I work with what skills/money/tools/materials I have, and get essentially zero help. For me the proof will be in the performance once it's on the road/track, and even then I'm sure many things will continually be getting tweaked
