what's up everyone, my name is Jake. wanted to share this since I have a little bit of time to do an initial imagepuke. this def won't be everyone's flavor, but it's all good

I've had this truck for a while now, love it to death, and have driven its balls off.

cranked torsions up front and 4" blocks in the back, the way I bought it. always envisioned it much lower, but was too busy driving it into the ground to do anything about it. until early april that is.....

had been laid off for a few months and stewing on a plan during the cold months, so I cleaned up half of my garage and pulled it in for a serious undertaking
stripped it of all things that made it go, left only the trans hanging(need that bit)

then cut, weld, plate, measure, re-measure, and this happened

then I started playing around with the front suspension. I think i'll end up putting that process in a future post, but some fit-up and clearance figuring

and I realized I needed to man up and fit the flared versions

and to get us to the current state of things, i've been working on finishing up the oil pan fab

that's it for right now, but I'm REEEAAALY trying to get this on the road asap so i'll update as often as possible. thanks for looking peeps

Floor pan under the seat area was super stank and rusted thru in a bunch of spots, Ike didn't approve so we handled some business

Stank removed. So. Much. Rust. New floor goes in tomorrow, along with raising the center section of the crossmember for driveshaft clearance

I might get to the 'in depth' front suspension post this weekend, I have a lot to put in it and it kinda all has to go together to make sense, otherwise I'll seem retarded Lolz. Let's just say there was a ton of trial and changing around, and it will be experimental in nature at first
Thanks for the interest, I need all of the encouragement steam I can get

Finished raising the crossmember for driveshaft clearance after cutting out the cab floor, raised it about ~3". Still have to trim off the bottom bits but I'm not doing that until I clean up, my creeper won't roll over the mountains of rubble and rust. Started thinking about how I wanted to go about putting in the new floor and came up with a little creative re-use. I think it's a good start to a new floor

You need to keep the marker lights in the center console and use them as floor lighting.
