I have a '93 Miata that's "slammed" on Racelands.
I started to get a "klunking" noise coming for my coilovers and it turned out that my collars were hitting my axles...okay..so I pull the helper springs off (because who needs a comfortable ride when you look rad!) in hopes to raise the collars away from the axles and stay low. Well the klunking continues. My next step was to grind my collars down to make clearance for my axles. Still didn't work 😞. Any one have any helpful advice? My next step is to cut my springs, I know it's not recommended, blah blah blah, but it's a Miata, light car, no horsepower lol. Note: I don't care about ride quality just want the lows without the noise...or if someone can refer me to shorter springs (much shorter 2-3 inches) that'll fit my Racelands, I'll take that route. On a budget so cheaper = better! Thanks guys!
