TV sucks anyways man, get an internet connection and a netflix account and you're golden.
Plus who needs TV when you're too busy building an awesome drift car?
Exactly. But some nights after work I wanna chill. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area with a fast internet connection. I have to do most of my uploading when I'm at work. Haha. I've got so much content I don't have time to upload....
This thread makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
Awesome build with some nice technical coverage as well! It gives me hope again in building my Volvo 850 estate to an awesome semi-trackcar
Start now, or it may never happen. Even little things matter. For example, my brake pedal mod helped on the race track immensely!
So for possibly the first time in history, a q45 is shown racing on national TV. No autographs please. Lol please repost this link and spread the word and please if you can record it for me I would love u long time forever.

You've done some great work to it no doubt, but it needs 1 more thing:
With all that exhaust plumbing and work - a rear mount turbo set up. Just finished mine (on a '92 Q) and it spools in the low 2k rpms...plenty quick. The VH can spool a big turbo. I'm currently running a GT45 clone.
Regardless, great work on the car and way to represent the G50.

Thanks for the idea. I will never run a rear mount turbo. I prefer, for this tight engine bay a supercharger that can pump out at least 600hp to the wheels. A Chinese turbo, or any turbo sitting in the rear will have too much delay and I cannot run in the rain with it. Plus too much complications and pluming for intercooler oil feed and return and easy for someone to steal. I stayed stock and away from nitrous and any completions that would cause issues that would prevent me from completting the racing series in 105°+ temperatures. The engine bay saw over 170 and the cockpit saw 140°. Heat management is key to surviving and thriving in over 2 hours of track time with high Temps and 6 hours of autocross and speed stop. Simplicity and reliability are key to having a competing race car that drives several hundred miles to the event, races for 2 days and drives me home.
Sadly the forced induction vehicles were not keeping up in the corners and braking zones and couldn't stay on track very long before overheating. While I stayed and made an impact. If you want to challenge me to a race on track I will be slower on the first couple straights but after the turbo overheats and you pull off, I will have no trouble beating lap times. There has to be balace. Power isn't everything. Momentary peak hp will not last on track. Look at the specs of any gt car, usually lower than you expect, but it's balanced and built to endure constant throttle inputs.
I havent updated in a while, just upgraded from my momo and installed a Driven Racing Nascar Steering wheel. I wanted more control and grip and a bigger wheel to give me the ease to drive more precise like the oem wheel. Unfortunately, there isnt really a way to bolt the NASCAR three bolt pattern to a 6 bolt nardi/momo setup. so i just countersunk and drilled out the threads and got some longer bolts to make it happen. The results are awesome!

my tires dont agree with vlsd. its basically open, I can do one tire fire after a few seconds of burnouts :-( I want a Clutch or gear type lsd that can handle the grip.
So I havent posed in a while, here are some photos of the SCCA Match Tour in San Diego. I was lucky to have good competition. I ran against a Camero track model of sorts with claimed 500 hp. I was slightly quicker on course, but it was a close battle and good times.
