Fantastic photography, and I love your ordered and tidy approach to doing the bits and bobs on the car. If I ever get the chance to make my own build thread I'd be very chuffed if I can make it as tidy as yours

Good clean up, I saw that the shifter is for auto though and my enthusiasm wavered :/

Taking your time and doing everything will pay off.
I like your project. I need to find one for me as well, watching this is bad influence.

Don't worry. My 5 speed swap and motor build is about to enter its alpha stage.

I finally took some photos of the whole car after finalizing the cleanup process.

So my next plans, are to either paint the discolored window inserts with trim paint, or rip it out and install new trim. Needs a bumper tuck, trim polish, and oil service, and the clean up / replace air and vacuum lines / ICV / AFM / air filter, etc... Then, a trans fluid and filter service so that it will hold until I can get a 5 speed swap going. If only it ran as clean as it looks.

Nice job cleaning up the car. It's looking much better than when you first picked it up. Just incase you try to diagnose problems later.......these cars come with AFMs, not MAFs

Can I steal your pop out rear windows pls?

This car is so cool. When are you going to lower it?

When it runs better / after 5 speed swap.

I love living within a mile of a BMW dealer. I get to see wicked stuff like this Sakhir M4 and Austin Yellow M3's and Yas Marina Blue M Sports almost daily.

Your car is so gorgeous. It's crisp, clean and all original. Makes me want to get one, make it minty and just preserve it. Props sir!
