  • MN GS300 NoVIP Build - 2JZGTE VVT-i + 5SPD R154

I am new to this forum but I have been on the clublexus for quite some time. I am currently working on my build and I figured I would share with StanceWorks folks what I am currently doing. I am currently on the overhaul stage of my engine while I determine what air setup I want for my car. I plan on giving my car a moderate stance while driving and a more aggressive when parked with the help of the air suspension of course.

My IG page is the following: https://instagram.com/elleongs/

    My GS300

    The R154

    Adapted Speedware adapters/spacers

    Before and after, BMW Style95

    Some Muteki flair

    Test fit

    2JZ-GTE VVT-i arrived

While I gather parts I installed the Style95 wheels. So I drive her this way until I swap things out.

Widening of the wheels, I just bought another pair of the 19x10 to widen them by 3 inches. Now 19x13

    No more rub

Streched tire VS No Stretched tire

I need the air suspension to know for sure how much work needs to be done to the rear, and if I need new adapters from Adaptec Speedware. So I moved to the engine until then.

This is where I am so far, I have been in communication with Tomei Powered USA. I will see if I get either full or partial sponsorship from them, that way I can get some Tomei Poncams, cam gear, fuel pressure regulator and head gasket. We will see, for now this is what I have so far.

So far so good! I was wondering why you would go with an R154 over a W58 until I saw that 2j vvti, holy shit, that's a winning combination right there. The poncams don't require a tune iirc, but you could get a bit more horses out of it with a tune(assuming that boost levels remain stock, but who does that?). Will you get a custom tune after a turbo swap, or will you just crank up the boost and let the stock ecu compensate?

Did you just call them up to see about the sponsorship? I've been drooling over Tomei's parts catalog for a while, but I kind of pushed the idea of having legit Tomei parts to the back of my head as a pipe dream hahahaha.

I sent them a sponsorship proposal, they actually replied yesterday. I had sent them the proposal months ago. So they will be sending me a sponsorship packaged, so I am pretty excited to get their stuff. I will be getting a tune after it all goes in, I want quick response so I want things to run good.

Those wheels are OE from BMW aren't they? Wouldn't cone seat lug nuts cause the wheels to crack?

I used the washers for measuring purposes, so I could get an idea on how much bigger the spacer/adapter needs to be. I took them off after.

I believe that the BMW use the cone seated lugs. So I think that cracking shouldn't be an issue. I had confirm this a while back, I checked again and I think its good.
