  • My wheel project

    Here is my project wheels.

First of all i have to get tire of the rim to re-assembly my wheels. (i dont have a tyre machine home,so i have to improvise to take the tire of.)

    Picture 1.

So first air off the tire and it "popped" off really nice.
    (too wide rim,for these tires)

    Picture 2.

After all the air on the tire i took the bolts and nuts off.

    Picture 3.

After all the bolts and nuts and washers,i did hit center of a wheel with a soft plastic hammer.

    Picture 4.

After the center is off,i did hit a knife between lips (not too deep to leave any marks to the sealingsurface) and when i get lips just a bit "open" i put a carpet-knife between the lips to separate lips.

    Picture 5.

Whole rim is no re-assembly and off the tire.

Next step is to strip the paint off the center and sand lips down.

After all sanding smooth and taking the paint off the centers i get them to the painter to get it painted.

That might take a while, because both front wheels is still under my car, because i dont have (yet) two other wheels to put it under my e23.
Both rear tires is now re-assembly and being stripped off paint.

(I`m sorry about the pictures,i`m no good with computers.)
(And i`m also sorry about my English.)

This is where i`m aiming for.

Offcourse inner barrell is gonna get painted black.

Polished stainless steel bolts with matte-black allways works for my eyes.
