It could be done depending on what the size the face of the wheel is, right?

        Yep.
Ryans modenas are a good example. same face uses different lips to either create 16s or 17s.
        Comes down to the design
Sarcasm is easily calculated on vortex dude. Take 4 parts GLI lip and divide by BBS RS. If you are left with a remainder, subtract it from omgmoarlow. Profit.

Best methods for cleaning bolts before polishing? I've tried all the cola, vinegar and stuff before. Didn't seem to do much. Anyone got a sweet method that works well?

Is there anywhere in Australia that specialises things like cutting or milling away lips and/or barrels on multi piece welded wheels?

Try - Wheel Solutions or Neway Wheels.

doing a set of 17" zauber monoblocks that i picked up with tyres for $200 in jan haha

here's how the bolts came out, i left them in coke for like 3 weeks and it got most of the shit off them, then borrowed a tumbler off someone and left em in for about 90 mins, came out great for ~25yo bolts.

i've split them all and stripped most of the paint on 2 of the centres but i don't really have much time to finish them myself, being at college of law and so on... so the centres and outer lips are gonna be refurbed at a shop, going with full polished lips n centres

OZ futuras that i did myself (also purchased for a stupidly low price, less than 1k and they're 18" lol) refurbed the outer lips and bolts myself, got the centres and inner barrels powdercoated, u probably seen them before, currently on my cl9

Thinking of going gold bolts, but not like full chrome gold, maybe something more subtle. What are my options? Wheels are welded together so I guess they don't have to be anything special, just for looks mainly.

i had my style 5 bolts "cad plated" i think it was. cost around $120ish from memory, and they turned out pretty good. still holding up well

Cad plating would be a good option....I was going to suggest that.

Depending on the bolt size and whats available on the aftermarket side of things, the shades of gold vary quite a bit. The ones I bought to do my 16in BBS are a very strong yellowy gold, but the ones I've just used in my ACS are quite a bit more on the dull side.....like a chrome with a slight tinge of gold in it....so shop around.

Hmm a bit too yellow for my taste, I was thinking more of a dull gold, but not too shiny either. Might be safer just to stick to the cap-head bolts that came with the wheels since they're all in good nick.

Any pics of the bolts on your ACS, Beware?
