  • Terence's 2011 Vitz build thread

What's up everybody. My name is Terence. 24 years old from Northern Cali. I've been lurking on the forums for a while now, and I finally decided to register and start posting Well, here is my 5 speed 2011 Toyota Yaris. I don't have many progress pictures of her on this laptop, but I will try and show her progress as best as I can!

    Current Mod/Accessories List:
    - Megan Racing coilovers
    - 16x8 +15 Klutch SL1s wrapped in 175/50R16s
    - TRD axle back exhaust
    - Quick release/Nardi wheel
    - 10k/8k Swift springs
    - TRD engine mounts
    - Netz front emblem
    - Vitz emblem
    - 22mm Whiteline rear sway bar
    - Tow hook license plate
    - Weathertech window visors
    - DDM Tuning 8k HIDs
    - Wired sidemarkers to stay on and blink when I signal
    - 360mm Broadway rear view mirror
    - Fog lights
    - 12" Kicker subwoofer with bass controller
    - TRD short shifter
    - Rear spoiler
    - Tint
    - LED interior/exterior
    - Mudguards
    - HD front lip

    Future Mods:
    - Alarm
    - Fix body damage
    - Lip kit
    - Real deal wheels lol

When I first picked her up last year: Had her tinted and weathertech window visors put on.

Put in her HIDs from DDM Tuning! 35w. 8k.

Put her mudguards and "Vitz" emblem on

    Fog lights!

Painted the fog light lenses yellow, and wired a 12" kicker with a bass controller. Stock HU, just used a line out converter.

Lowered her on Tein S Tech springs, and TRD Sportivo shocks. Also picked up a set of 15x7 +41 Enkei RPF1s! 195/55/15. Sold the wheels, and the spring/shock combo and picked up Megan racing coilovers and wider wheels.

Installed a 22mm Whiteline Rear Sway Bar. Sold this exhaust. Hope to pick up another one soon.

Changed front Toyota emblem to the "Netz" emblem. Also added the tow hook license plate.

Haha thanks man. I just thought it'd be cool to try and build a small car, you know? Can't complain with the gas mileage either I pretty much never see these things being fixed up so that was a plus in my book as well!

Thanks man! I definitely agree with you on that though. I will be ordering my coilovers within the next few days. Then after that I'll be looking into some 16x8 wheels. I really like mesh wheels on this body style.

                16" rpf1's?

                they suit your car imo

and by the looks of this, you can even go 17"

Yes 16" RPF1s would look better for sure. I'm just aiming to go for a mesh style with lip. Haha. 16" would probably be as big as I would go. Although a lot of people in Thailand and Indonesia love rockin the 17s. The way they stance the Vitz out there is pretty crazy.

Haha yeah man they do some nice work out there. And of course, they get the nicer bumpers and front lips stock on their cars haha.

Got the coils installed! How she is sitting right now. Cut a lot of the fender liner off to minimize rubbing. I ran into a couple problems during the install..

                              - VSC and ABS lights stay on now.
                              - Rear shocks don't feel secure. Hear the shocks knocking/bouncing.
