Real progress has been made in the engine bay.

The rain tray has been removed as well as the battery tray and a few other misc spot welded brackets.

This is how I'm going to route my electrical in the fender well.

Templates for all the holes were made prior to welding.

So many holes, I am even going to shave the bottom of the radiator support.

Upon grinding misc spots for welding, I found this crack in the frame. Most likely from a previous accident.

I welded that back up, and started to grind it down... It looks like a Penis... I left it for now, because I think it's funny.

The coating that you can see on most of the patches is weld through primer.

Majority of the MANY holes on the radiator support are filled.

The strut towers will be stitch welded, and then filled so that way they are nice and flush.

I STILL HAVE A LOT MORE WELDING, and metal finishing to do in the bay before I can start body filler. Tomorrow I'm going to finish the patches, then start the frame notch.

I'll leave you guys with something that's shiny.

I love this car. Can't wait to see you start putting parts back in it again. The tank setup looks really clean too.

    ( Mount is backwards lol)

Waiting on more gold plating to come back.
Waiting on a new carpet for the interior.

This weekend I should be able to have some free time to paint my motor, then I can start assembling that as well.

    I'm still here...
Working on either polishing the head or going to paint it... Either way that's this weekends project. Motor is almost ready to go back in the car.

I had a period where i hadn't been on here an a while, and i feel like i forgot why someone would want to put so much work into their engine bay. You have reminded me. Gorgeous!

Things are starting to come together.

Few more things to mock up before I put the engine in the car. I'm working on " tucking " my linkage for the carbs under them, however I have to overcome the waterneck problem I ran into, the ABF waterneck is in the way. I have another one on the way, as well as a custom one in the works.

Are you going to be using any type of filters or air box over the trumpets?
