I know a lot of dumb fucks here in LA got new cars and all that shit. Dumb decisions but hey, as long as the gram thinks you're making it...
    Just LA influencer things aha

A lot of the OGs are doing good actually, I keep in regular contact with the boys these days. Everyone grew up and shit, it's weird as all hell.
yeah i didnt do the new car thing, i just saved. the youngsters online are saying not to do that, that saving is boomer logic, and the dollar is going to be worthless soon, so i'm trying to look at my finances from both perspectives

growing up is fine, but did dave get his yellow nsx?

    • i would be super pissed if i did all this saving for nothing, if my savings are overshadowed by a bunch of teenagers that played the market and made 100x my little boomer-logic savings

I miss overall forum activity in general. Social media really has ruined that.

I mean, sure, its a great platform to show off your car and progress, but nobody is gonna type a full essay on how to tighten your wheelbolts on facebook.

That's what I am talking about! The technical elements of the forums is what I miss.
Cool, we can get 10 second videos of welding porn and YouTube is finally being used as a platform to show builds off, but I genuinely miss well written threads

I think a big reason we dont get the forum feel on socials is that its to generalized.
Ofcourse you have your groups and you have your hashtags, but when you sign up for a forum you get part of a closed group of people that share an intrest.
Now I cant write for shit and always forget to make photos of everything (not that its that impressive) but I sure do like to read other peoples builds

Agree, without the hashtags and all that people have become accustomed too, it's quite difficult to have that on here unfortunately.

I do think that the forums will, at some point, make a comeback as technical information is still available here. People just aren't looking for it right now, or they'll ask on Instagram or in YouTube builds.
YouTube builds have definitely come a long way though, take Mike's 308 build, the technicalities he's willing to dive into is great, but I think that comes from forum days.

If you login, does it just kick you back to the login screen again?

After I log in I get the "Thank you for logging in, you are being redirected" screen. After that I get pinged back to the main board but not logged in.
Weirdly, it is happening on my pc at home but also on my phone which I dont have connected to wifi, so two sepperate internet situations.
Also, if I recall correctly, I even tried two browsers on my PC. Google chrome (which I also use at work) and Microsoft Edge. Similar results.
