Got a great day on the car. Got what I set out to do all buttoned upGetting them into primer and a wee bit of 2 pack paint so I can take my brother to an Interview on Monday.
All the doors were riddled with carpark dings and little bits of spider rust. So I set about cleaning them up and making my repairs.
Done! Notice the almost penis shaped repair on the front door
Best update on doors you'll ever see. Maybe.
Made some more repairs
Backs of the doors were a little rusty. Put some BondaPrimer on it to stop any further rust, this stuff is awesome.
Quick shot of the bumpers in Primer
Got it in the booth and Pete helped me mask it all up (Read - He masked it because I was shite)
Would have been a pain in the ass if you'd left something in the car...
Otherside
Primer, yey
It will get a quick coat of 2pack paint so I can use it over the weekend. That will act as a guide coat too![]()
Had a rad day at the drifting this weekend
Parked next to my mate Alex

those pictures are sick
Got the arches rid of sealer this week. Covered them in Bonda primer so they wont rust when I roll them.
Left the left arch till last because I thought it was full of filler, turned out just to be a fuck tonne of sealer.
Glad I don't have to do that job ever again.
Tomorrow I'm going to get on with the bonnet and start stripping down the tailgate.
Great progress, can wait to see it done.
You going to Loch Gelly this weekend?
Won't be at this one man, just going to get a good day on the car, hopefully get all the arches rolled. Will be at the next one though!
Very good stuff so far, dude! Definitely looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Well today I started tearing the car apart. My painter doesn't have anything booked in this week, so there's a good chance I might see it finished!
When I was taking apart the boot I noticed a little bit of rust. Turned out to be a little more than I thought...all surface rust though, no biggie. Got it cleaned up and in bonda primer. I'll throw some grey primer at it afterwards, you're never going to see it.
Then there's this mess underneath the boot light
Getting the number plate off was the biggest pain in the ass ever. I swear it was held on with the strength of the world.
Sideskirt revealed this pretty sweet hole. Going to have to cut it out and weld in a new plate. Then bonda primer and then grey primer.
And it's a good job I got a new wing, this one has seen better days!
I left him looking worse than this, no bumpers, sideskirts or anythingPoor guy.
And that's it until tomorrow!
Got another couple hours done on the car today after work.
Started by taking the rusty wing off. Turned out it was a shitty replacement wing anyway. Good job I'm replacing it. All looks well behind it though, i'll give everything a good coat of waxoyl.
And I guess this can only mean one thing...
Uhh...
These were shot "Mid-roll"
As you can see, it flares out just a little bit, which isn't the look I'm going for. I'm trying to keep it looking as oem as possible. So I got my painter to dress it back in a touch and it's looking way better. I don't have any pics unfortunately.
Again, shot "Mid-roll"
Should be flat enough, right?
My painter wants me to get a tyre on one of my wheels just to make sure. So I'll do that tomorrow.

Ohhh, this is exciting!
And yea, def. get a tire on and have a test fit, otherwise you might run into problems later!

Looking forward to see more of this one!![]()
Today was a good day!
Put my other wing on the car so it was easier to roll
Nice and flat. Going to put some more primer on it so it wont rust, but the main thing is the primer inside the lip.
Noticed I was carrying around half off Scotland in the bottom of my other wing...
Then I put a wee skim of filler on the wing, shouldn't need much at all
Same with the otherside too, found a bit of a dent as well
Now the fun part!
I got my Dad to help removing the rear spring so we could make sure I had enough clearance. Which I do! It's pretty snug though. Jacked it right up until the top of the tyre hit the inside of the arch, just to make sure.
That's a 215/45 on there and I'm going to be running a 215/40, so I should have plenty room!
Just got in from the shop. Got up there and the car was looking like this
Rough. So I spent most of the morning just final sanding the bonnet and sanding off the filler on the wings.
Had to wait a wee while for "The Guy" to arrive and take out the rear screen. He removed that and I found Mr. Rust greeting me with open arms. Fucking yey.
Yeah, not so stoked now. Cleaned all the shit out to see what I was working with. Gonna need a little bit of welding...and filling, as you can see, someone reversed into a pole or something.
We'll see what tomorrow brings!
Got a little bit more done today.
The front panel and wing are now in primer
Then I got the other arch rolled. Tried my best to get the dent out, but unfortunately I had to use a little bit filler.
Put a wee skim on the other side too
Then I took the bonnet off to get it primed tomorrow
Sad little car!
Great work as always, makes me feel motivated to tackle the brown death that's lurking in my own arches
Is there much of a pull on your rear arches or is it mainly the lip that has been folded up?
I have a pair of 225/45/17 to fit on my 9" style 32s and your pictures are making me consider swapping them for 215s.
