there are a few jacks you should be looking at. one has a collapsed height of 2-3/4" and the other is 2.5":

Had to jack my non-running car up a few times.
Rear tow hook as jackpoint, stick ramp under rear wheel, put jack under rocker, jack up whole side, put ramp under front wheel, remove ramp from rear wheel, lower and re-jack from front tow hook, or if jackstand required, jack from under front fender and insert jackstand.
