well lets just start with this, the car is a 1967 ford mustang coupe with a semi-aggressive built 289 (bored .040 over, cam, rods, edelbrock carb and manifold, full msd ignition system) the front suspension was lowered 3in along with a shelby drop upper control arms. The rear consisted of 2in lowering leafs with a .5 drop block.
here's a view from the back
i cant find another pic of the headers but this was before the front was dropped an inch and a half
the only 2 videos recorded, was the first few times of me taking her out
Well in a good build thread there always has to be an unfortunate event right?
well this is what happened to me, was on my way home (with very bald rear tires) and its pouring rain. It was hydroplaning a little but wasn't bad..... then i hit a section of cement that was like ice and the ass swung around into a light post.
That has now been over a year ago and since this is my track/drift car i need to get her back up to proper shape and getting her sliding once again .
First step was a quick tune up and made sure she still ran proper and i think the vid speaks for itself.
This was her first time starting in months which is why there's so much moisture out the tips.
So i went ahead and got all new body panels for the ass (both full rear quarters, taillight panel, rear valance, deck filler, and trunk lid).
a buddy of mine offered me some rims at a price i couldn't refuse.
Once i get the body work squared away im going to be cutting out the rear frame rails, building my own to house my Lincoln IRS (The irs iv never taken a picture of for some reason), qa1 coil over setup all the way around, 16gal fuel cell, 11.8in crown vic rear brakes, 13in cobra front brakes, and all the other odds and ends that come up as you go.
this was a test fit of my buddy's 10in steelies in the rear and my new rears are 17x10.5
