Do not adjust the rear strut. That is your pre-load. Adjust the perches that you are showing in your first pic. That controls the "drop" of your car. You shouldn't have to touch the strut at all. It should come set from BC.

BC coilovers - correct rear adjusment procedure ?

According to BC, ride height is determined by shock height, not the springs. The adjustment perches for the springs control preload. The threaded shock body will provide height.
The reason why you have to adjust the rear spring perches along with the rear shock is so you don't ride on the springs or bottom out on the shocks or vice versa.
To properly adjust the rear, set your spring perches to your desired height. Then jack up the rear until the spring is compressed about 5mm or so. Now thread up your shock until the bolt holes on the lower shock match up.
