Hey everyone,
I'm Jay from South Africa, I'm working on a 2005 Polo 9N3 1.9TDI Sportline.
This has been my Journey for the Past year, skipping most of the beginning stages,
This is how the TDI looked when I bought it.
Since then mods iv done:
Blacked out the Centre Bumper section in Matt Black Vinyl
Wrapped VW badge in Carbon Vinyl
LaminX'd headlights and Tail-Lights Gun-Smoked
LaminX'd Fogs Yellow
Honey Comb Grills Upfront
GTI Rear Apron
GTI Front Grill
Shorted Aerial
Got BBS RS Replicas (For Now) as the Originals are nearly impossible to source here in SA
STO Chiptuning Stage1 Software (125kw 395nm atf)
Golf V/5 GTI Steering Wheel
Sparco Black leather gearboot with red stitching
6000k HID kit
LED interior Lights
Sound:
3000W Targa Monoblock
1800W Targa 4Chnl Amp
3500W Starsound DVC Woofer
2x Lightning Audio Strike Split System (Tweeters, Mid, Crossovers)
Rockford 6x9's
Ice Power 7Band Equalizer
I Left it like that for awhile, then I eventually got a set of JOM (Blue) Coilovers (Bang For Buck)
Also fitted a SEAT Cupra front splitter and Yellow Plates
I took a mini, CHEAP, Low Budget, photo-shoot using my Blackberry Camera and used Picnik for editing lol, but gives an idea on how its sitting on the JOM Coilovers.
My rear left lip got badly scratched so I took the wheels in to get refurbished and decided to add some colour.
Base Coat
Final Resault
[
I was quite happy with how the colour turned out, wasnt exactly what i had in mind(should have added a touch more gold for a richer brown colour but its growing on me.
Again bad quality pics using my Blackberry Camera.
Also Sprayed the pin-stripe on the GTI Grill White and lowered the Coilovers as low as they can go...was very disappointed to find out the the JOM (Blueline) Coilovers can only lowered to a 60mm drop Front and Rear, saving up for an upgrade.
Here some pics taken at the Zoopedup Bikini Car was this past Saturday(11/02/2012)
The new wheel colour looks really shite in the shadow lol.
At the moment I got 205/17/40 tires but I bought a set of Falken 195/17/40 tires that i will be fitting as soon as my Spacers are made. They are being made at the moment and should be done in a week or two.
Once the new tires, spacers and new coilovers have been fitted ill start fiddling with the camber n what what.
Thats it for now, glad to be apart of S/W and hope to meet some rad/interesting new ppl and learn alot.
Thanks for taking the time to go through my first thread n hope you njoyed,
and POSITIVE criticism is most welcome.
Cheers
Jay
