    Default Hakuna Matata: Evo Content

Picked up this Evo IX in mid September. Let the slow process begin!

The trunk before I started the construction on the wood trunk.

    The templates were complete.

    Let the cutting begin.

    Finished.

    Coils arrived.

Considering I have the Chicago winter to deal with I've decided to wait until spring since this is my daily. For now just accumulating parts. Smaller stuff shall be happening thru-ought the winter months though.

Glad to see the wood is liked, I wasn't to sure how it would be taken. Will definitely have to figure out how to incorporate more of it, subtle touches here and there possibly. Thanks guys.

How much extra weight does the wood add on, is it even noticeable?

I don't notice a difference. I am guessing the wood is probably 25lbs more than what the stock carpet and wood was.

Yeah, never mind I had thought you were going to do the entire floor with it since the carpet was shot to hell

I still have it sitting in my basement, but I don't have any plans on putting it back on right now.

Yea I was fiddling with it all day today trying to figure out why it wouldn't start. Turns out it was just a stupid mistake by me not leaving enough wire exposed in the new eye to make a connection. Runs good now.

NeedingAnAudi actually suggested I do a whole entire wood floor throughout the car as well, but the amount of work seems so insane.

done right. vinyl wood is for pansies
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

    Sincerely,

P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

So I picked up some spacers the other day from a buddy of mine. 15mm for the rear and 25mm for the front. Car still needs more low but at least for the winter I'm sitting a little wider. CAUTION: Excessive wheel gap below
