If that car was at a bar, I'd buy it a drink and try to seduce it. Then, we I got it home, I'd cook breakfast for it in the morning. After it told me it's sob story of falling on hard times, I'd offer to lend it a few quid(c wut i did thar) for rent money. I'd probably buy it's daughter a few outfits for school as well. Eventually, I'd take it to a family pic of mine and introduce it to everyone. We'd date for a while until a nice G35 came around and enticed me with the leather seats and navigation that I would never even use anyway. I'd end up breaking that tegs heart and it would walk on me. THAT'S how much I love this car.
Far from it lol, loads of hidden engine parts that I know nothing about. The spoiler has gone for a standard one now, fancy coilovers etc. Exterior is fairly standard looking, which is all they need.
Done a few more, forgot I had them, got the last couple from the bridge to do.
Not my car so doesn't really bother me, but the standard spoilers back on already and if it wasn't for the new lights costing so much they'd be replaced too (they will be at some point don't worry) thanks.
I owed my friend a favour, and he called in it before Japshow Finale this weekend so on Friday I spent the day giving the Championship Cream a bit of a correction to more of a Championship White.
It wasn't too dirty to begin with, and having no LED/Halogen lights and the overcast skies meant I couldn't actually see what kind of correction I was doing. Couple of before shots:
Then I gave the car a wash down with Dodo Juice Sour Power, followed by a clay with Billit Hamber Autoclay, with a final wash down and hose afterwards. You can see some of the yellowing above the exhaust.
Due to the lack of good light and Honda's soft paint I took quite a conservative approach to polishing the deciding on a combo of an orange Menz pad with some Menzerna Super Finish.
After one hit of the car I had removed all the yellowing paint, restored some shine to the rear quarters and given the whole car a nice crisp shine. The exhaust was also treated to some Autosol both inside and out with the wirewool.
After the Lime Prime, the car received a nice layer of Dodo Juice Hard Candy, tyres were dressed with some Meguiars Endurance Gel, windows cleaned with AG Fast Glass, trims treated with AG Bumper Care and the whole car given a final wipe down.
Under the 'hood', not a standard engine totally, Tegiwa Imports airbox, new inlet and exhaust manifolds, remapped (needs another), Mugen twin loop system and probably loads more 'JDM y0' parts that I have no idea about.
I say the same, it still scrapes over speedbumps because of that silly twin loop exhaust, but it is track and performance focused, not aesthetically focused like it should be haha.
I know about lows, this is what I sold to buy the DC5 (after going through 3 sumps and a wheel refurb costing half the car's value!);
But yeah, it's always a bit of a shame in my eyes when a proper Type R is slammed and its track potential scrapped lol. Each to their own I guess. I've had a full on track DC2 before this and I'm keen to get this one faster, so right now it's at a good compromise of looking a lot better than standard but still being fully useable on all but the bumpiest of B roads.
i also use the "Menzerna Super Finish" when polishing, although i use other products aswell but always find the Menzerna much easier to clean afterwards as alot less residue is left.
Would you recomend the dojo juice stuff? your the second person today who has mentioned there products.
