My name is Dave , im a 20 year old college student from albany NY Always been a huge guy for getting the perfect wheeltire/stance on a car. Ive been a lurker but finally got around to joining. Ive done a few stanced cars. so heres a quick timeline of some of the cars ive built in the past few years
First off are my daily drivers, everyone of these cars below were driven rain/snow or shine as pictured.
my first stanced car, 90 jetta coupe with a 20v 1.8T swap or more commonly known as the "poop". wasnt quite perfect stance wise but hey gotta start somewhere right?
underhood shot
interior shot
my third mk2 I built, 91 jetta GLI VR swap, full shaved engine bay, and what i consider my first good attempt at getting the fitment "right".
bay shot
after I sold the GLI i decided it was time to focus a little less on show and more go so I had this mk3 GTI with a VR/ gt35R making 502 whp
under hood
the GTI ( now sold with my current coupe)
next is my current mk2, a 90 jetta coupe with a european 2.9 vr6, with some dohery racing cams.
now for my "fun" or weekend cars
My 03 cobra, not quite flush status but did what I wanted it to do, go VERY fast.Car made a little under 500rwhp and 540 ftlbs
after a couple years of owning the cobra I decided to build my dream car, a 67 shelby gt500 seen in gone in 60 sconds starring nicolas cage. I built 95 percent of the car myself, bodywork, glass, upholstery, wiring/mechanical the only thing i did not do was build the exhaust and spray the paint.
day 1 january 2010
march 2010 bodywork
may 2010 on the way to the exhaust shop
july 2010 basecoat
august 2010 first time on the ground after paint/first drive
my goofy ass putting on some tire shine
january 2011
current. getting some winter mods including new rear suspension and total control products coilovers, to get the stance perfect.
