Twin Turbo Ls Swapped e36 Build (not tt for long)

It's been years since I've posted on here but I feel like this one is gonna be for the books.

I'm currently at 3985 subs. Trying to get to 5k for my first milestone.

I have about a dozen of them out right now.

Intro:
A few weeks ago I adopted this problematic twin turbo ls swapped e36.
(After over 2 months of searching). Literally the day after I purchased it, all 4 cars in the exact spec I wanted were listed for sale. Livid. Big L.

I **** pretty much everything about the car. For example. The color. I **** blue cars with all my heart. To the point where I'll be bringing it to Maaco for a $500 paint Job. Idc.

Has no Ac. (I need Ac)
Has Turbos. (I prefer superchargers or NA)
Has fender flares. (I like overfenders)
Has an iron block 4.8. (I want an aluminum 5.3 5.7 or 6.0)
Has cheap folding seats. (I prefer cheap fixed back seats)
Has an ar5 manual. (I'd rather auto or a 6sp)
List goes on.

Plans:
Remove the turbos
Test the engine
Grab an aluminum 5.3 or 6.0 block
Btr road race head/cam setup
Ac !!!!!
Overfenders
Bags (static is stupid)
Real wheels ( wide asf too)
Black paint
Lots of carbon
Sunroof delete/carbon roof maybe
Lots of black leather and suede on the interior
Nice seats
Lots if chassis bracing and reinforcements
6sp swap or Dct/8hp (Unsure yet)
And much more I can't think of.

I've had tons of cars. This is my 15th e36 coupe alone
But now I'm buying things to keep. So I plan to keep this forever unless someone trades me for a black ls swapped e36 (which I doubt).

You may be thinking.... why tf did you buy this. Short answer is I've never made a good decision my entire life and I aint finna start now. But tbh I couldn't beat the price, all the hard work is pretty much done.

So yeah I'll be updating this as time goes on and the build progresses.

So, unless you watch my youtube channel youtube.com/imschwaggy you haven't gotten updates. I wasn't able to get on this site for whatever reason.

But as of today, 8/25/2023 the car is in my yard
I removed the turbo kit, got headers installed, finished the exhaust.

now, we see the 4.8 is donezo! Piston rings fried from boost leaks, exhaust leaks, no boost pressure limit, no tune, etc.

So im going to be getting an aluminum 5.3 , 5.7 , or 6.0 to swap in.
but after getting my cl63 back and daily driving it. I want to fix the car and sell it for something newer. Preferably an ls swapped e82 135i/ e92 (coupe of course), or an e63 m6. Why? Because I want something newer and I want an auto. 4l80, 6l80, smg, dct, 8hp. Something. Yes I can do a swap on my e36, in theory. But there is no one to tune the trans, so it wouldn't be a good idea. I'd rather buy one that's done.

Or I may just end up keeping the e36 who knows.

I'm not too deep into the car at all. Still well under 15k, and with a new ls, the car will be worth around 17.5k as is. That money will be enough to get the new project (if i sell).

i do love e36s tho so I may stick it out and build this into my dream car. I presume after it's all said and done, I'll be into the build for around $30k which for what it has, would be a steal of a deal. Definitely won't get that 30k back though.

My plan, revised:

New engine
Upgrade brakes
Proper seats
Proper trans mount
Double din/touch screen computer
Airlift 3p with struts
Paint the car black
3 piece wheels or aggressive spec forged 1 piece wheels
add ac to the car
lsa supercharger or another roots style blower
slicktop conversion/carbon roof

Pretty much it that I can think of off hand.


I'll be trying to update this as much as possible lol.
