    Default E36 325i Gletscherblau Budget Build

    What's up guys.
    I miss car forum so bad so why not share a little bit of what I'm doing lately.
    I bought this car just over a month ago to be a fun daily. It's a 1992 sedan slick top in Gletscherblau which I really like enjoy the color. The engine is a M50b25, stick shift with not many miles so I'm sure it's gonna be reliable. The car needs a lot of maintenance, but it's coming together!

    Next step was to find Coilover, I went with Raceland ultimo new but second hand. I wanted something cheap so I guess it'll do for now.

    I have known since the beginning that the RTAB bushing where bad. I ended up buying all the bushing from condor with reinforcement plate. This car is gonna be solid for sure when everything is done.

    Pro-tip for E36 guys, Unbolt your rear brake hardline bracket to get more space and put a wrench between the rear table and the chassis.

    Lots of imperfection on the paint but all the panels have OEM VIN numbers and I'm reading 8mm on a Coating thickness gauges. I did a quick detailing but I'm sure I could wet sand and get deeper in the clear coat. Will see

    If you didn't notice the exhaust was trash from the beginning. Two cherry bombs, not hooked up properly. I didn't even drive the car because of that. After a lot of research I bought an axle back from ISR. I love ISR exhaust on Miata and 350z. The fitment is always perfect. So I gave it a shot and I'm not disappointed

    This is looking so good. Please keep the amber signals it looks period correct and classy.

    Also, the 4door is very nice.

    Happy to see the forum alive.

    I ended up getting a set of 90mm studs to be able to space the wheels without always getting new bolts.

    My brake pedal started to felt weak. One of the hardlines was leaking between the abs and the T in the rear so I replace the line completely. I tried to bleed the system with a motive bleeder which I highly don't recommend. My clutch line pop out of the clutch master cylinder with the pressure and all my brake fluid ended up on my carpet. That was so frustrating, I ended up stripping the car to clean the mess. I'm not sure if the master cylinder has been replaced in the past, but the clip to hold the line wasn't there.

    I have to weld a hole on the floor so I had to strip the car anyway.

    I ended up changing the clutch master cylinder with a new line and fitting. Also while I was there I changed petal bushing for Solid bushing from condorspeedshop as well as stainless steel brake lines.

    I bled the brake and the clutch with a friend and no leak so I'm pretty happy about that. After that, I changed the power steering lines and both ti-rod.

    I align the car with string and binders to keep my steering straight.

    I did a road test and it drives well. I still have a bit of toe-in in the rear even when I maxed out the adjustment. I will probably need to modify the rear pocket but for now it's fine!

    Thanks guys! Gonna redo the exhaust, the rear subframe reinforcement plates, bushings and a chassis mount shifter next!
