Those plugs were such a good idea. Love the riveted look, whether or not it's just temporary.

There was a lot of dirt under there, I cleaned it up and put on the new pieces.

While driving the car it sounded like it has an exhaust leak so I did the reverse vacuum in the exhaust method to find the leak. Seems like its coming from the exhaust flange gasket.

I don’t understand why more people dong modify these cars, they are pretty ugly stock but so are a lot of cars people customize.

Today I managed to swap the A/C controls back to original. Luckily the car came with a service book that that’s diagrams of all the wiring and I found out that the previous owner re pinned the harness, to I put the pins back to the way they came from the factory and now the original one works. Before it didn’t blow very hard and now it does so I’m super happy about that.

                  Got the windows tinted.

Finally got the android head unit in. its made for a Kia.

                  IMG_2345

I was able to remove the silver part very easily.

Wiring harness is wired for the kia but I will just cut the kia end off and wire it to a metro harness for ford.

                  IMG_2347

I test fitted it into the dash and its to deep so I was able to remove the cd part and mount the back part vertically.

                  IMG_2357

I rigged it up in the dash for now so I can see if it works and use it until I get the dash piece done.

this is fucking cool! I cannot wait to see what else you come up with. My buddy in HS had one of these and I always though it would be a unique car to mod.

How are you going to build the new dash surround to fit that stereo? Fiberglass? 3D printing?

I’ll use plastic bond and some body filler. I’m copying soundman’s method of doing iPads in the dash.

Got started on the dash piece.

                                1633AC50-15FE-4BF4-BC92-F5043911DCE7

I got to this point where I was ready to tack glue it in place then when I was cleaning the plastic dust off I dropped it and it broke into three pieces. So now I need to buy a new bezel and start over.
