  • Fs: 2001 bmw 330ci - s54 m3 motor - air ride - $13,000 obo

This is a HEAVILY MODIFIED 2001 BMW 330CI (E46 chassis). It has a complete motor swap from a 2006 M3 (motor, transmission, driveshaft, rear end, cluster and ECU). I had MOST of the recommended M3 preventative maintenance items done during the swap. It could use a tune-up though. The M motor and drivetrain have 109K miles (pictured on the cluster). THERE MAY POSSIBLY BE A MILEAGE DISCREPANCY LISTED ON ANY VEHICLE HISTORY REPORTS BECAUSE OF THIS.

I wanted to finish building this, but I need to focus on my business. I will do my best to list all of the mods that I can remember. The listing is long. Please bear with me....

    ADDITIONAL MODS...

    -20% 3M window tint
-2006 M3 bumper with molded brake ducts, shaved license plate holes and reflectors
    -Replica Strassentech carbon-fiber lip
    -M3 strut bar (powder-coated white)
-AirLift Performance complete kit with 3H air management, hard lines and powder-coated tank (installed by rat4life in NJ)
-Rogue Engineering (performance engine mounts, transmission mount, front strut tower reinforcements, rear shock mounts, rear spring perch reinforcements)
-M3 SMG engine oil cooler radiator with rackside air vent duct
    -M3 fuel filter
    -M3 charcoal canister
-Recaro Sportster CS leather seats on Wedge Engineering brackets-
    Matching white accents inside
    -Pioneer double-din removable face radio
    -Audiobahn 6.5in 400W component speakers
    -Upgraded rear deck speakers
-Alpine Type-X 12-inch sub in custom box
-2 Alpine PDX amps totaling 1400 watts
-Dynamat sound deadener on inner trunk lid
    -Flip-down monitor on ceiling
-Audio-video input & output panel mounted in rear ashtray (NOTE - THE AUDIO WILL NEED TO BE REWIRED. Everything is there, but has not yet been put back in place after the swap)
-OEM M3 trunk floor welded in
-Partial Black interior conversion (originally grey - headliner, dash and a few pieces still are)
    -M3 rear leather seats
-Euro-tray in place of cup holders
-Sparco Flash-5 steering wheel on Momo hub with universal quick-release
-Custom 4-switch panel in place of ashtray
-M3 replica 6-pin mirrors (Could never use the power functions. Should be replaced with the proper 12-pin mirrors that plug in directly)
-Black kidney grilles and window trim swap
    -Taillights tinted
    -Clear front corner lights
    -6000k headlights and fog lights
    -Trunk lid show display
    -Mishimoto aluminum radiator
    -Status Gruppe full M3 stainless exhaust (S54 cat-less and ceramic-coated headers, M3 section 1 with high-flow catalytic converters, M3 section 2 X-pipe, M3 SGT section 3 rear muffler)
    -Custom side skirts
-Carbon-fiber CSL-look rear bumper diffuser from Germany
-19-inch Hamann HM2 wheels painted and baked
    -235 35 19 tires
    -Calipers painted and baked
    -Roof painted M3 carbon black
-New front control arms, bushings and sway bar end links (installed at 101,451 mi).

    FLAWS...

Scratches and chips on certain areas of the body from daily use. Steering wheel has wear. Certain painted and unpainted pieces inside are cracked or peeling. Shift knob surround needs to be replaced. The M3 intake was cut in front for fitment reasons (poor judgement of installer). Sparco sliders were welded onto the seats or brackets (very poor judgement of another installer). The proper Recaro sliders should be purchased and installed (slider handles broke and seats are currently in fixed position for a 6-foot tall person). Driver-side floor mat worn. 6-spd shift knob has some wear. Trunk handle slightly loose. Overhead monitor in headliner may need to be replaced (It worked intermittently). A few dash lights are on since the swap. Air bag light on because of the steering wheel and seats (an ECU flash may sort that out). No more spare tire or jack because of M3 floor (suggest ordering the BMW emergency spare tire just in case). A/C was never charged or serviced since the swap (needs to be evacuated, oiled and have freon added. haven't checked its functionality). Rims are refinished, but you will see imperfections upon close inspection. Sunroof sticks sometimes (should be checked out before it fails). Inspections will be tricky with the swap in there. Most enthusiasts have a way around it.

***** CAN MINUS THE AMPS AND SUB IF YOU DON'T WANT THEM. WILL ADJUST PRICE. *****

WILL UPDATE THIS LISTING IF I REMEMBER ANYTHING ELSE, BUT THIS IS MOST OF IT.

Runs and drives fine. Clean title with lien release letter. Have instruction manuals for the radio, amps and air ride.

I WOULD LIKE TO GET $13k, BUT MAKE ME A GREAT OFFER AND COME TAKE IT OFF MY HANDS.
