  • Airlift spring maximum diameter, how to measure?

So I have a set of air springs that I haven't been able to test fit yet and it'll be a while before I can, but I would need to determine tge required clearance for the spring. The maximum diameter is listed as 6.5", I'm wondering if this is with the spring empty or full? And is this a "safe" measurement or is it likely that the spring is exactly that width at maximum?

I'm particularly curious because the diameter seems to be about 5.3" off the car, will it really billow out more than an inch??

The spring in question is an Airlift 2B-6
