What transmission swap (from... to...?)?
Wow, that's pretty major work. Any progress threads?
The idea is still up in the air so..
Nah, I started it a month ago working on it every now and then on the weekends due to being at college, but now im back home for the summer so it will be done. Basically I upgraded everything. UUC pedal bushings, UUC clutch stop, UUC stainless steel clutch line, braided stainless steel soft line, M3 slave cyl, UUC stage 2 lightweight flywheel, M5 pressure plate and disk, Roque engineering short shifter with delphrin bushings, Roque engineering tranny mounts, and I replaced every single bolt lol
Thats mainly the reason its been taking for-ever. I go to work on it and find out I need new bolts, so I had to wait for the parts to arrive. But I got everything covered now ;) Only thing I need to do is put in the pedal cluster, tranny, and fill everything back up.
Sweet, btw, did you know the owner of UUC is looking into buying a 2.3-16? I can't wait to see a professionally tuned Mercedes Cosworth! :rofl
Oh, and I found my project drift car! (hopefully.. *crosses fingers*)

I'll strap my friend's STI stock turbo setup to it, strip it, and weld the diff!
(I will also clean it up visually and stance it, I promise. :3)
thats something new..never seen one of those drift
Drama, where have you been all my life.
Btw, Drama, is your first name "Johnny" by any chance? :rofl
If Drama's first name is Johnny I will be disappointed.
I dont blame you lol. Maybe you'll start a new trend haha
Hell no. there about $4,000 plus drift tax, it comes out to about $5 - 6,000
Thats why im interested in this one cause its SR20 powered + 5spd trans. That is a freakin Bargain

im bored. Ima get on Forza and drift my stock height stock bodied S14 sitting on 19s that I wish could get lower but T10 is pussy shit that doesn't pay attention to us drifters so we have to suffer with all the gay car packs and un-needed add-ons that do nothing for us /rant
Hey Alex.
Forza's serious business or some shit.
lawl
Yeeee...in Forza. But Im getting an S14 in about 4 weeks
What do you drive now?
Everyone on the West Coast, turn on SNL right now! Betty White is hosting, and Jay Z is the musical guest!
So funny.
a 96 Chevy S-10 and a 97 Expedition which I will be using to tow my ride when I start going to drift events.
Shit, I better invest in an SUV/truck with a trailer if I'm going to be serious about drifting.
Edit: I should invest in a friend who has an SUV with a trailer. :rofl
if anything he'll make you pay for gas lol. But Im only doing it cause I dont want to put a shit load of miles on my car or possibly damage my car on the way if I'm driving it.
Damn you guys were up late last night.
To Heather Happy Mothers Day!
Awhhh thanks Kielan
and damn Alex was on and I missed it! haha

Thats sick Dan. How much further you got to go?
EDIT: 2,400th post w00t!
umm...lets see. Attach the clutch cyl to the cluster, attach the brake pedal to brake booster, attach clutch pedal to clutch cyl, connect the brake switch, tighten 4 bolts, re-assemble everything down there. That will all be done tomorrow.
Then all I have to do is mount the tranny, driveshaft, exhaust. Then bleed the slave cyl, put gear oil in the diff, put the intake manifold back on and attach everything, and then flush the cooling system.
It seams like A LOT of work, but realistically its all pretty simple from now on out. Should be out on the road tuesday or wednesday.
Well since you have nothing else to do with college over. Should be pretty easy for you then.
