I'm trying to get my XBOX NAT type to open and having difficulty.

What router you got?

Siemens Speedstreem 6520. I've logged in as the admin and have been trying to do work.

Here is what I did:

-Assighned the XBOX a StaticIP within the DHCP range of the router.
-Opened the ports for that IP address
-Enabled DMZ for that same IP address.

In the XBOX I have entered the right IP address, entered in the Subnet Mask, and for the gateway I put in the IP address for the router because that is what the tutorial online said to do.

I have re-booted the XBOX and router twice and when I do the network test it will connect to the network, but not the internet.

Fucking **** this problem. Only way I have ever fixed it is reset the router to factory settings.

i went through that. Google it. Its pretty easy. you have to open ports 53 - 8X and a few other things. portforward.com should have what you need.

it also depends on your service provider too. i did it to a friends and on somedays its open somedays its moderate

You can fix it, it surely isn't a failsafe. I was just messing with you.
My wireless router connection blows, sometimes it is the computer though.
