After owning 5-speed cars for the last 6 years, I will never, ever go back. Short of a half-ton truck, I don't see any personal need to own an automatic.

personally, all my street cars will be auto...i got sticks in the racecars for that.

For my own curiosity, why? I think manual daily drivers make for the best, and some rare cases racecars are better left autos. I would rather drag race our Nova with a TH350 and a high stall converter, than a 4-speed and a heavy clutch.

If the belt hasn't snapped yet, you're fine.
Transmission or diff fluid doesn't really need to be touched that often- although I used to do my old '96 Accord every other year (~25k miles), but it had 190k on it.

The belt is pretty beat. Id rather not get stranded over a $15 part and 30 minutes of work
Ive never done the fluid, not sure if its ever been done, and it would kinda suck if my transmission or diff fucked up because of 20 bucks worth of fluid and 30 minutes of work.

I just prefer getting in and driving...I don't drive very sporty street cars so I'd rather just get in, relax and go about my driving like that.

We don't drag race, so an auto would be of no help, haha.

Any of the new BMW or Audi autos would be much better suited for a racecar than a 6MT.
