    American Dubstep now is all over the place. Some quite similar to UK artists, some closer to crunk, some closer to trip-hop.

    Dubstep has come a long long way in a short time, from where it started. The point in the dubstep timeline where I "joined" was with Benga, and I found a whole bunch of Benga online. That's what dubstep was, to me. Months later, I found a Tek-One remix of a Bring Me The Horizon song. I didn't even make the connection but I liked it so I looked up what genre Tek-One was classed, so I could find more similar stuff. Dubstep, apparently. Quite the difference.

    Anyways, was listening to Blue Slide Park (Mac Miller) on the way to the store today. Felt good on a Sunday morning.

    really? if thats true than that is strange, as dubstep and grime are completely different.

    now that i think about what i said. there are a few uk dubstep tunes with rap but more dubby if you know what i mean.
    not heard of rapstep or anything.

    ive heard it called "rapstep" for a mix of both, otherwise we still call it dubtep. either way im a fan of mt. eden, and a few skrillex, but not much.

    that might be american dubstep. never really liked american dubstep.


    kryptic minds/ mala/ loafah makes some awesome dubstep

    but as for tunes for driving i would maybe say :

    actress - crushed
    lukid - wonder years
    lukid - western swing
    nujabes - silver morning
    dj krush is chilled. le temps or mu getsu. some jazzy hip hop vibes there

    i said "as for dubstep" meaning i only like music from the dubstep genre that has rap in it. i like rock,rap,hip-hop, some techno too.
