for a year, i was riding in an astra mk4, slammed to its teeth on 15 momos.
Now i got an old c class that needs some stance, been driving with it lowered but its just not enough.
I dont have much to spend this time round, £500 if that.
My plan is; replace the rear shocks with standard gas shocks and cut my current lowering springs 2 coils or more depending on how my 18inch wheels fit with ease. My current lowering springs are Gmax 30-60mm ones but im sure its lowered a lot more than 60.
The shocks need replacing because theyre leaking and had enough, and the reasoning for replacing them with standard replacements is because I prefer the ride comfort to be normal, at the end of the day, it is a mercedes. I have had an idea to replace them with C36 shocks because theyre supposedly an inch or two lower than standard oem shocks for any of the 202 range but these are hard to find in a good condition.
I then plan on replacing the front end completely. A complete new set up to match the rear height; story is, the current set up is bouncy so i would like something stiffer up front for when i turn at speeds. when im turning at idle i can feel the front end rise, when i turn at a speed it would bounce and cause the scrubbing under the arches..
What did you do to your mercedes? I would like to hear your set ups and if possible a couple of pictures for me to get inspired!
thanks!
