    Hi Jeff,

Yes it was the e32 that was the only model supplied with the 10" Rear. The lip on the 9.5" fortunately has the same dish as supplied on the e34 B10 Alpina's. There are a few guys in the UK that I know of who have fitted e32 rear trailing arms to their e34's to accommodate the 10" rears, the only sure way of getting them on safely...
For the sake of the odd mm or two any 17" Alpina Classic 8.5j, 9.5j & 10.0j will fit your e32 comfortably and look well.

As you have mentioned, Alpina prices are crazy high but second hand parts are now becoming scarce and more sought after.

Thanks for the link to your e32 project, the car is a credit to you and I'm sure will be an even more stunning example as your progress with the maintenance and restorative work continues. I'm doing a similar undertaking on my e34 525i Wagon and hope to have her ready early next year.

Please PM me if still interested in the wheels and any requirements and I will pursue enquiries accordingly.

    C.

    C,
I've been in touch with Alpina dist. in California. When I first went on my hunt I thought I would buy new. Man.....did those prices put be back in my seat. The size chart they sent me when they realized that I would be searching for used or refurb were the numbers I sent you. The part number you sent 3611638.....Alpina says is for the E34 with as you said ET13. Also the rear wheel for that set would be 9,5 instead of 10. My E32 they say requires ET12 if I don't want to use any sort of spacers. Just going by their chart. Can you believe that the Alpina caliper for the B11.....still available (new) costs $1700.00 Each. I mean I can get a completely rebuilt OEM caliper for $74.00. Try and decorate an older 735I when you retire and take it on as a hobby, and the money just disappears. I spent four or five weekends refreshing the engine bay. This is what I ended up with. If you're posting on a board like this you might be interested in the pics. This was a thread I posted on my E32 forum when I was done.
    Regards,
    Jeff

Almost yes. The 8.5jx17's are ET13

The square set I was offered are as follows:

    Alpina Part No. 3611638 (8.5jx17" ET13)

I have sent an e-mail asking if they are still available and at what price. They do come with Centre Caps and Locks too which is a bonus.

    Hi Jeff,

Great thread resurrection and coincidentally I was offered a square set of these a couple of weeks ago. I'll e-mail the seller and see if he still has them along with a price if interested?

    Looking

I realize I'm about 6 months late for this posting, but I'd just like to put the word out that I'm looking for a set of these Alpina wheels. I'm in the states. Usually post on the Bimmer Forum E32 board, but came across this site by accident. Thought I would join and post. Original owner of 1990 735I (E32), Try to keep it in showroom condition for the past 25 years. Been shopping for these or softline Alpina's for quite a while. These were a great price for me as I have a friend that does powder coating on this side of the pond. If anybody knows of a set of 8,5J X 17 and 10J 17 Alpinas let me know. Not a stickler for staggered wheels. Four 8.5J X 17 would do just fine. Thanks much
    Jeff
