1987 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel (IL)
For Sale is my 1987 300D TD.
This car is all original and can be kept in it's current condition as a great MPG gettin' grocery tank or lowered and turned into a German stance classic.
Engine:
3.0 L Six Cylinder with 202,xxx miles. It will go up as I drive it sparingly around town.
Body
The body is in really good shape. Has a few dings and scratches but not much for an 87. It has a couple chips on the front clip but they aren't bad.
Interior
The interior is very very nice. The center console has a crack. A cpuple buttons on the passenger side electric seat are missing. That's about it for wear and tear on the inside.
Story
The car was bought in California and lived there pretty much it's whole life which means there is NO RUST. It was owned by the same people who bought it for something like 20 or 25 years. During this time it was always serviced at Mercedes Benz Dealers in California. I recently obtained the car last year from my uncle who bought it from the original owners.The car has only been in Illinois for this last year. It starts up every time with no issue. It drives good. No complaints. The car is in excellent shape for the year. Most older Turbo Diesels that you see have rust or have a lot more cosmetic issues than this car. It is truly special. You must come drive the car to see how solid it feels and drives.
