  • Testing Waters 86 porsche 951/944 turbo

Let me first say the is the most fun car ive ever owned. And that means a lot coming from me seeing as ive had 18 cars in the past 3 years. Some of the highlights being me e36 m3 as well as my 375hp 89 240sx and even my mk4 1.8t swapped mk3 jetta. But there is something about a porsche motor, especially a turbo porsche that makes you feel warm inside... actually boarderline moist. Anyway I have always wanted to own a porsche and now that i have ive been bitten by the bug and want to move on to a 911. So my project is incomplete but it runs and drives and like any car has its quirks here and there. But its got a true porsche turbo rumble, backfires all the time, and shoots flames occasionally

What ive done with the car in the past month and a half

    New front rotors and pads
one new front passenger caliper ( 4 piston brembos all the way around)
    New front tie rod assemblys
    New front wheel bearings

All for a total of $800 in labor and around $500 in parts

I purchased the car with dented front fenders and quarter panels with pre meditated intentions. I was looking for a car I could wide body.
The wide body is not yet installed but will come with the car.
The total purchase price for the front wide fenders and Le Mans rear Quarters comes out to around $1200 new.

The driver racing seat in the car was purchased for $200 dollars

Powder coated the faces of the wheels- $350

The car was also chipped for $400 for a little bit more of a hp gain
    runs on 93 octane

And the optional CCW Classic Leightweight racing wheels with brand new zero mile toyo proxys that im in for about $3000 will come with the car for the right price

16x13 rears with toyo proxy 275/45s and the 16x11 fronts with toyo proxy 245/45s
The wheels came from the famous slant nose that was breaking necks last year at h2oi

I do not need to sell the wheels because my next car will be another porsche and they are 5x130 but it would be a nice extra chunk of cash towards my 911

I know im forgetting some stuff but please feel free to ask me questions.
The title is still in transit as this was a california car and when receiving a title from out of state it takes longer than when you title a car from ny.

The 944 turbo is a rare car and they sell for $10,000 on a regular basis

    Car with ccws- $8,000
    Car without ccws- $6,200

Keep in mind im into the car for $10,000+ and have no intentions on gaining money but I do want to put a down payment on a 911.
