Up for sale or trade is the 1985 BMW 635CSi that has been a project car between myself and a friend for the past few months. I'd estimate the car is 75% complete (see below). It has a legit 104k original miles and is mechanically sound. We have service receipts dating back to the car's original delivery receipt.
Currently the car is ready to be painted. The exterior is sanded to 320 grit, and all bare metal is primed and sanded. The exterior is disassembled in preparation for paint, with all trim cleaned and ready to be reassembled and all bolts/screws bagged and labeled.
The Good:
Refreshed suspension!
New H&R Lowering springs (lowered 1.25")
New OEM Sachs Shocks
New Strut mounts Front & Rear
New Tie Rods
New Rear Differential Mount
Refreshed Interior Trim
Upgraded Sound System with AUX input.
Many Spare Parts
The Bad:
-Interior Drivers door handle broken (have replacement handle)
-Needs alignment (on account of new tie rod ends)
-Possible (likely, in my opinion, but my friend and I were writing this ad...) battery issue - alternator is good (car can run on alternator if jumped).
-Shifter linkage has play.
The Meh:
-Steering wheel (M-Tech 1) has cracked leather.
-Exhaust currently drones due to the PPO (previous previous owner) opting for a resonator delete (exhaust is run through to dual Thrush glass packs). I'd recommend simply
-PPO gifted us a wonderful starter button, which we were planning on relocating somewhere more tasteful.

Sale Prices:
$2500 obo on stock wheels (or BYOW)
$3500 obo on brand-new, custom-drilled ESM 002 wheels (BBS RS reps, 16x8 all around) with brand new Hankook Ventus V12 tires. This setup is completely new, and was purchased for around $1500 to be put on my other E24, but I figured it suits this car better.
Trades:
ANYTHING! Give it a shot - between the two of us we're interested in pretty much anything. Again - anything vehicular, give it a shot.
-----
Basically I wanted to put this up here before we commit to paint - in a few weeks, we'll probably go through with it and put it up for sale later. The car needs to be gone before the end of the summer though, so I figured I might as well put it up for sale now.
