  • BMW 2002 Hot Rod

It's time for college and I'm not allowed to bring my 2002 This car brings smiles to many people's faces, had made me many new friends and draws attention everywhere it goes. Everyday going to school or to work I get thumbs ups, beeps, old dude rollin' down their windows on their range rovers and saying "Beautiful Car!" This car really is my pride and joy, it sucks that I need to sell it.

For people who don't know, The car was involved in a small accident last year, I never had it fixed properly because I didn't have the money until this winter, I sourced a Nose and new front fenders, (Thanks Todd!). And this is where my journey began...

I wanted to do everything properly this time around, no half assing, no cutting corners,I wanted to make the car proper. I got a job at Vintage Car shop and so they helped me with the whole project and made this car a MONSTER!

    1. The motor was pulled from the car
    2. Old nose removed
    3. Motor was "refreshed"
    -new Gaskets
    -new Rear Seal
    -Valve Job
    -new timing chain tensioners
-we took off the bearings on the bottom end and they were PERFECT so we didn't bother replacing them.
    4. Milled head because it wasn't perfectly flat

    Parts the engine has-
    -Forged Pistons
    -300 degree cam
    -Ported

    4. The whole motor was degreased and painted.
    Block- battleship grey
    Head- Silver
    5. In addition to the engine, all the little things were cleaned and painted as well...alternator, starter, headers, etc....
    6. We knew this engine was gonna ROCK and it does
    7. Flywheel was resurfaced, New clutch
    8. The car was then aircraft stripped to bare metal, turns out the car had practically ZERO BONDO on it!

The car isn't perfect. But it IS rust free and it's very straight. You can't tell it was in an accident at all. It's a very solid car, it's a very cool car as well. It still needs work however, I just don't have the time or money to finish it. I've spent almost 20k on the car, I'm just trying to get back a bit of my money so I am asking $8,000 obo. Make me an offer!!
    It needs:
    -interior
-a real paint job- the paint on it is rattle can because I couldn't afford to go a real place, once painted this car will look like a million bucks.
-new shifter bushings on the tower
and im sure a few other things which I can't think of.

If you've already read this far and If you're serious about this car and you're not just wasting my time or being a prick about it, send me an email! carter.kramer@verizon.net or TEXT me @ (914)-539-1208 Car is located right outside of NYC.

Here is a recent article about the car on eGarage.com

Once again, this car has SOOOO much potential, it's a very straight car and all it needs is a bit more love, I just don't have time for it because I'm in college but I'm happy that I saved the car and never gave up. I want the car to go to a good home.
