was just gonna say that that "plate" does nothing but maybe act as a splash guard, but you got your head on straight

There is actually a factory x brace that came on e36 m3 verts that would protect the oil pan pretty well and if you wanted to get craft you could always weld a plate on it. Part number is 51718410212. Hope this helps someone!

I've been I the process over a year testing my skid plate. fixing the errors and finding
out where the flaws could be.
duplicated my skid plate yesterday and selling this one now,

comes with the nurserts that need to be installed in the subframe with the Allen bolts that fit flush in the skidplate do the heads don't get worn down, the holes are countersunk, I also provide a 3/8 thick 3x16 aluminum spacer that goes In between the skidplate and subframe. the skid plate sits up higher then an xbrace. xbraces end up bending into your oil pan and eventually will crack your pan. skidplate has about 1/4 inch or more clearance from the oil pan. the rear of it bolts directly to your frame rails. messag me of interested.

oh and I'm pretty low. trust me when I say my skid plate saves.
