I took the helpers out of my streetlines a few weeks ago. They go pretty damn low without them.

Fk Silverline X's 0 threads in the rear, 8 threads no helpers in the front.

Guest repliedOh another... MK5s are a pain in the ass to actually drive low, that's why most people went bags. You won't find that many people into fitment that aren't on bags anymore, it's pretty sad.

hope you guys know what you are doing when you are getting that notch done
if you see air in your future, then definitely do it!
my front end is weird, I think its stock, but I have seen people rub like crazy and not be as low as mine is, I've yet to rub ANYWHERE in front or back, even at full lock
I do scrape like a madman pretty much anywhere I go, because of how the drive-ins into driveways and parking lots are made around here

i want to lower mine but i dont want my rears to look lower im not a fan of that. so i guess the only thing i can do is notch my frame. but i have to wait till the spring. your gli looks great though

M703 - you can definitely have plenty of room to go lower in the rear, but maybe there is a difference between GLi and GTi
I love mine, I want front to tuck tire
