The real funny thing about that quote is that if you take a set of JNC LM knockoffs and add a set of decent hub centering rings, I spent only $300 more on my MAEs.

$300. For beautiful wheels that won't crack and blow out on a pothole. For wheels I can turn around and flip for the same price I paid for them or more.

I'm starting to see SSR reps coming out of southeast Asia (Malaysia, specifically) that come from the factory with SSR centercaps. Pretty shameless.

The knockoff wheel industry (and all knockoff industries in general) thrives off the fact that people believe that the look is all that matters, and that they will receive just as much attention and accolades if they buy cheap knockoffs of quality products as they would if they ran the real thing. If we care about design, quality, and originality, the only recourse is to not prove this mindset right.

replica aren't allowed to do so. And, you se the tiny tiny gap between the center and the barrel.

    No, its not.
Agreed, it is truly all on the part of the consumers. Without the demand the supply would not exist to this extent. Its so sad now to see old beautiful wheels not able to be sold for a few hundred bucks but people ask for nearly 1,000 for reps on chinese tires.

Freaking rep companies are ruining the wheel industry.

but still its fairly easy to see the real deal as they stamp bbs on the front. replica aren't allowed to do so. And, you se the tiny tiny gap between the center and the barrel.
