  • Golf3 Cabrio - Help with sizing wheels

    Hi Folks,

I'm shopping around for wheels for my '97 VW Golf Cabrio project and need a little help getting to grips with sizing my desired wheel, specifically offset and width. I'm running 4x100 PCD and am looking for a set of 18" wheels (with a bit of a dish) that will tuck under slightly modified(rolled and pulled) arches.

I'm a big fan of wheels with a lip, like the Rotiform forged 3-piece convex VCE wheels and see that manufacturers, including Rotiform, make wheels to order so it's important I get the sizing right before I commit an order.

So I need some advice/help to determine the rim width and offset for the wheels. I will be running coilovers so I'll have a bit more clearance and the arches will be rolled and pulled to suit (not cut and extended, just pulled as required). There's also the question of tires. According to what I've read, I'd probably looking at tires sized 215/35/18 but any advice from those who have already gone down this road before me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch for your help.

    Chazz.
