Pretty much that.....I use sticky dots and put one on each bolt head and then take it off once I've done that bolt, that way you don't lose track which you have and haven't done as it can get pretty confusing doing 30/34/35(BBS or OZ depending) bolts per wheel.Originally posted by stinkinrich View PostWhen I built my futuras, I got 4 bolts, ones at 12, 3, 6 and 9 oclock postions and nipped them up so the barrel met the face all square. Then just went around the rest one by one but working on each one thats opposite to one another.

one more noobish question... when you assembled the wheels and torque the bolts in star pattern, is there any specific order for the bolts?

I did this, bolting it down before it cured, and had issues with them wobbling.Originally posted by vgrntbeauxner View Postnaw dude. torque dem nutz before it cures and you won't have an issue. if ur concerned just do it the other way.
fwiw diff covers, cast oilpans and lots of other stuff is sealed before you mate the parts. it works fine in most cases.
And second thing, diff covers do not have to spin around, it will seal up alright. but there is no telling if the cover will be 100% parallel to the diff housing. like its need to be with the barrels and lips.

hey guys thanks for all the info but wouldnt torquing the bolts after sealing it cause it to have air bubbles thats the only thing i dont getOriginally posted by vgrntbeauxner View PostWow, weird. It really should only take a light skim of sealant. And if you assemble and torque before the sealant begins to cure, there shouldn't really be an issue. I prefer this method for sandwich mounted wheels anyway. For any other, I'd probably seal afterward.
