I've seen this car in person and let me tell you..it looks absolutely amazing. Steelies along any line would do the most justice.

Also, just wanted to say I love the way most people handle opinionated comments around here. You guys cooly talked it out and such. I mean I'm not the biggest fan of certain things but I do have respect for doing your own thing..so it was really cool to see how one comment turned into explaining the respect you had for how he put his car together.

I was just trying to offer him some options that aren't gonna be steelies. He'll be able to find hundreds of pics of the standard optionss. I was just trying to give him some non standard stuff to look at. I personally like overly big wheels. Blame Dub City cars, but this is as low as I could get it on the coilovers I built and have it still ride reasonably for daily use. The front crossmember hangs substantially lower than the rockers. It is what it is and I'm not mad that you **** it.

Hi guys, (OP sorry about getting your thread derailed) why so much hatred? I had no idea a $400 Volvo clunker was such serious business.

All I wanted to do was play around with trying something different. Yes, I know it's all been done before, but you don't see graffiti'ed cars all that often (aparently for good reason according to you guys ). The interwebs is such a blessing and a curse. While there is tons of info to be gleaned for just about any topic you could think of, there also is a smathering of pics of just about every type of car out there. I wanted to do something different that would help keep my car from being lost in an internet sea of Volvo wagons on steelies. Couple that with having a couple friends that are two time defending Seattle SODO Off The Wall graffiti champs and it just seemed like a fun way to spend a Saturday evening and some beer. The good news is that the graffiti paint got the car into a music video



and it will be featured in an upcoming ad campaign for the spraypaint company. I don't mind that you guys don't like it, that's OK. I'm sure there were plenty of people who thought the idea of a rusty BMW rubbed with diesel oil was sheer craziness, but there are also lots of people who love it (me included ). The thing about it is if you come across another pic of my car down the road you might say "there's that d!psh!t's car from SW", but you at least you'll recognize it. Anyway, good or bad, feelings towards the "taste" or "intelligence" of my mods helps the OP either way. I've always said, you can't know what you like till you know what you don't like. As far as the wheels go, They were all different wheels I've had laying around, either at home or work, and just like to try out different styles. Luckily it's only 20 lug nuts and I can toss on something else.

I think it's pretty cool what he did with his wagon. It's different, and that's what makes it awesome. Yes, not everyone will like the graffiti but that doesn't make it "hideous" as you referred to it. Besides, what he did takes time and energy...and whether it's my taste or not, I can respect that.

Holy shit those first three wagons are hideous... I'd get some widened steelies or something, those modern wheels don't suit the lines at all. Also, step down the sizes, 16's would be best IMO
