Sell these and buy other wheels. Why ruin a perfectly good set of wheels? I'm sure its been done with the hotrod crowd but has anyone ever actually seen this done successfully with this style wheel?

On a another note, these look like they have 17" centers kinda like how 18" BBS RS have 16" centers. Going to be somewhat harder to find lips for these I think.

Something also to consider is that these will need 40 hole lips. (Some HREs & RH wheels)

    What bolt pattern/offset are they?

Oh btw, use this stuff to clean the wheels. You'll thanks me later.

cleaning/polishing up the lips/barrels that you have now and do a test fit before you go through everything to get new lips for them...might fit very well as is

but yeah your going to need to be very exact on the measurements

I obviously meant slant, not slate... you got me though.

I'd say pretty accurate, they are your wheels after all. The part of the car that actually moves it.

Oh and Zic and Jorge i think ive been converted :P Slant lips it is :P they looks pretty gangsta...

Right, speaking to tunershop about lips, i have to measure up my barels to make the lips match, how accurate do these measurments need to be. And also i need to measure the external diameter of the center where the lip and barrel mate to. Is this and interferance fit or is it soley the bolts holding the wheel togerther?

    Cheers bois.

glad you know I was just playin' a bit. I'm not nearly as keyed up on all this like some of teh others here either.

sentence 1 - never! I wanna see these babies be as epic as can be.

sentence 2,3 - it's all good. the shoes were free so never a better opportunity to create something as personalized as these could possibly be.

stop this mentality. that's the problem with too many people running rare wheels; they're too scared to play with them. why be just like everyone else, put your personality into it & be proud!

I honestly think it will cost much more to split them into 3 piece and buy new lips. All of that is astronomically expensive.

I wont need barrels, im having the lip parted off the front of these Rims then with the new lips made to bolt the whole thing back together

Thank you for you're input though.

Free wheels that will look good, for free

Hey buddy, thanks for your input.

I had the wheels for free, as they two of them wer slightly damaged. I wanted a staggered set up so this presented a perfect oppertunity for me to go mental :P

From what ive calculated they sould cost me £1000 for a complete build thats lips, bolts, paint and polish..oh and machine work. Ofcourse il need tyres too, but for £1000 id never get a set of wheels like this...il be lucky to find some nice 19s for that.

Hope that kinda outlines my intentions

you take a 2pc. wheel, run home with it & make a thread outlining how you plan on making these a 3pc. wheel without even unbolting them to truly know what you're dealing with? you make plans of attack with a machine shop without any of you knowing exactly what you are attacking? then you call tunershop & ask for mysterious parallel lips?

you're beyond awesome dude, almost as much as me.

    * disclaimer: bro, please don't think I am insulting you in anyway, I just think it's nuts in a fun & innocent way. & if you don't mind . . . I will continue to lurk, I will continue to support, I will continue to think your crazy in the coolest of ways.

& by the way, I don't know what you call flat lips either.
Awwww shucks haha il take it as a compliment mate. Im not to keyed up on all this wheel business.

At the end of the day i had these for free, and well im not gunna learn if i pay a company to build some wheels to fit a car, il build my own wheels for my own car. Il either pull this off and have a set of wheel that arnt scene as fuck, but i know i made to my own spec etc...or il fail and il chuck what i have in the trash :P

    I <3 being a noob
