  • E36 M3 Coupe ~ Need to Pull or Roll? ET13...

Ok seeking the advice of the stance...

I recently came into some wheels for a good deal and am looking to fit them to my E36 M3 Coupe.

    They are...
    17x8 ET40
    17x9.5 ET13

Now the front seems to be clearing fine, and most likly will need spacers to be flush (thinking 15mm/20mm?)

For the rears, I know can be fit, I'm just not sure how much work (pull/roll) will need to be done to achieve the right /flush\ look with minimal rubbing.

In regards to tire sizes I'm thinking 205/40/17 for the front and 225/45/17 for the rear.

Here are some side shots of the current fit with the car on jack stands...

    Front...

    Rear...

Let me know what you think!

    Thanks for the help!

If i were you, i would go 205/40 and 215/40, if you grind all of the sealant that is in the rear fender lip, roll it up really snug and tight, then reseal the lip. then you would be good to go, with a little camber. do not pull the fenders, makes them look ugly imo

hm, looking at the pictures again, it seems to be a multi piece wheel. you could always get new lips for the front, adding 1inch bigger lip, then you already have would put you at 17x9 et27ish. that is what i would do.

Exactly, it may camber in just fine and tuck the shit out of that wheel with the suspension compressed... so put the car on jack stands, and put the jack under the control arm and jack that up, you will get a better feel for what needs to be done... if anything

The wheels will not be tucked with those sizes and offsets. It will be flush or poking a bit.

Yuo will be fine all round!

i would suggest 25mm front spacers and the rears will be sweet.

this is my rear set up.

you will be looking at et0 or close to it for a nice aggressive fit with an 8" wheel on an e36 M3. et20 is still too conservative compared to what you will be running in the rear.

this, and keeping in mind, what you add in spacers, could be added in lip.

I agree however at this time I have several different spacer size already and the amount of time it would take to get bigger lips is too much at this point.

However this is def. something to consider in the near future...

                            Thanks!
