There is no problems with stretched tires as long as thier WITHIN reason. Look at how long people have been doing them. Lowriders have been rocking stretched tires for 30+years

    Its true!!!!

I'm lightly stretching a Falken 512 205/40 on an 8 right now, soon to be 205/40 on a 9. If the pressures are right you'll be fine.

Falken 452s seem to have a tendency to have their sidewalls split but that's a specific tire defect. As everyone else in here said, tire pressure is key.

I haven't had a single problem with my stretched tires, ever.

People need to realize how hard it is to unseat a tire bead WITH correct tire pressures. You already need a pneumatic machine to unseat tires which are deflated.

As cliche as it sounds, take into account most drift cars use stretched tires and look at all the torture they put into the tires and cars themselves...

Defects in the tire from production is another story. If it was a production problem and it happens to be stretched as well, most people will gun for it and make stretch the scapegoat. Ignorant people, I swear.

Somewhere in the showroom section there is a "SRT-Forums most *****" thread. the guy posted the link to the srt-forum thread of his car. and it's all about dangers of stretched tires. all the peoplewho drive around with stretched are saying there are no problems. just like Sean said.

So what it try to say is: No problems as long as your airpressure is right
