Put those on CL for some cash. I just went on and you can find something that would look good with stretch for sure man.

I say go gold if you're going to paint those wheels. But they definitely are the suck either way.

Im with webb on this one. For under $10 you could buy some paint and play around, at the end of the day its only temporary (even if temp is 6+ months), and who really cares what people think?

    I vote for bright green...

I was thinking the same thing... I was planning on getting some spacers made in the next year or so to run either VW or BMW wheels...

I mean I've had the car since September, but yeah I guess I see what you're saying. Being at school from 8 to 6 every day and playing sports on the weekends makes it hard to find time for working though, plus I got laid off for work over the winter. Don't worry boys, funds will be up come springtime, I was just thinking out loud.

I think they would look better just straight black.

When i was in college it took me almost 9 months just to save for a set of wheels/tires working full time. Other things can be more important than mods ( not much )
What do you spend your money on? Dont eat out, eat top ramon everyday(10 cent meal) , dont go out and see movies, dont spend money on the girl friend. Idk there are ways to make your money stretch and look for a good deal. Almost any other OEM BMW wheel can look better than your stockers. I love DS2s and you can find those way cheap

Those are acs type III reps, 18x8.5 +38... They come in 18x8.5 +13, 18x9.5 +22ish authentic that I really really want. Almost bought a set a while ago but couldn't come up with the cash.

I paid 200 bucks for these:

    +100 bucks used tires

i traded those for oem contours with new tires..

I paid 220 for these WITH snow tires and a 5th spare.. low offset too.:

I see these going for 200-300 ALL the time and you wont believe what I traded those for.. I just saw a mint set of 17x8.5 +13s going for 300 with tires...

Take that 40 bucks in paint and supplies and put it towards some wheels. Honestly how long has your car looked the same? Not knocking you, just saying that there's no way that within that time you couldn't save your pennies and do oddball jobs for people(shoveling driveways, mowing lawns, paintin shit) and scrape up a few hundred bucks.

    Make it happen

Idk how cheap sawblades or salad shooters are in your area but where i am, i can find them for 200 a set. Then get some cheap (maybe used) tires to stretch on there. Yes its been done before (Seandub) but you could paint them yourself or w/e you feel like to be a little different. Id say dont touch the wheels you have and save the money for different wheels.

Back in the 40s if you wanted to hang with the big boys you had to build your shit. I know you cant just "build" a set of wheels for a bit of change but you catch my drift. Back then there was no internet, no mail order, no speed shop, no nothing. If you wanted a fast/cool car you had to make it and do it yourself. I **** when people ...**** on certain cars because they look thrown together or no money was put into them. Yes most thrown together cars look like sh!t but thats because the owner thinks the only way to have a cool car is the buy parts an pieces similar to what everyone else has but in a different color so his ride can be cool too. So he just covers his "shit" up till he can afford to replace it with something shiny he saw in a magazine ad that had a hot blonde chick in it. If you went to a junk yard that had some euro stuff in it and brought half an imagination with you there would be a possibility of building something out of nothing that would blow minds. look at parts and see if you can make something out of it. don't just throw money at a car til it looks bitchin.

I quite like the pchop of the simple paint schroedin. I say DO IT
