Great start, but I have to agree on the wider wheels

Sorry but you're not pulling it off. You need to get MUCH wider wheels to fill those arches. Then you need to clean the car up, add a different lip, etc. That's not boso or shakotan. Focus on getting some 14x12s and take it from there

I'm a big fan of Shakotan and Bosozoku styles, but own an old Nova.. so I decided to take a risk and see if I could adapt the styles a little and try it out on the Nova:















it's down around 130mm on coilovers, has 13x8 Compomotive SSR Meshes at the front and Minilites at the back, though I have another pair of compomotives that need tidying up. It's a bit different but I like it!
