I saw pictures of track E30's and almost all of them have taped headlight's, so the tapes on there as kind of an inside joke

the tape is required by the track on glass headlights so that when you crash you don't leave glass all over the track.They do take them of when the're off the track.

Now if you going for the crosshair headlights (see below) but are on a budget, then thats a whole nother story and you might be doing to wrong..

Noone in their right mind would track a car on XXRs. I'd try looking for a bumper or getting rear spacers before worrying about how cool the headlights look.

your front wheels poke more than the rear real bad also. reverse staggered if you will.
