    My ex had a 2.0 jetta for a while and it would have issues every now and then, but usually I could fix them in about 30 minutes.

    Looks clean.

    My 1998 E36 was a piece of junk, it always ran, but there was also always something wrong with it too. Out of my last nine BMW's, the E36 is the only model I would never purchase again.

    thats not dropping the motor, its really not THAT bad provided you have the tools. at least you dont have to take apart your whole front end like i do

    plus, 2.0's are bullet proof, so long as you change the timing belt every 60-70k miles, and they're dirt cheap to fix. The only thing that ever went bad on my old 2.0 jetta were the o2 sensors. And my current 1.8t has been completely trouble free for 109K miles.
